Europe Trip: Freiburg im Breisgau & The Black Forest, Germany 🌲

Quest Rating: 🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲 Featured Guest: Costandi (past roomie)  Animals Spotted: Dogs, Pigeons, Crows Weather: Higher 40s/50s. Sunny and cloudy. Environment: The air felt clean here too!  The city is eco-centric and has a tram system.  There were lots of walk-able areas where there are no cars allowed. Many people were either walking or riding bikes for transportation. The architecture is beautiful and there's a lot of cobblestone streets. Food: Bakery, dessert items, coffee, and meat! Fun Fact: Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany is known as the capital of the Black Forest. ( Schwarzwald ) The Black Forest is named this because the forest appears black due to how thick the trees are.   We arrived in Freiburg im Breisgau in the late afternoon/early evening. We were in Germany for about 4 days all together. First night and day, we explored the city taking in the architecture! Lots of shops and bakery's to explore. Europe Trip: Zurich, Switzerland

Quest Rating: 🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫 Featured Guest: Costandi (past roomie)  Animals Spotted: Swans, ducks, dogs Weather: Higher 40s/50s. Cloudy with some sun at times. Environment: The air felt clean and the water was clear. Very fresh feeling. The architecture is beautiful. Food: Chocolate and cheese. What else do I need? lol! So good. Fun Fact: Switzerland's water is so clean you can drink out of public fountains! My friend did this and I didn't believe him until I saw two locals getting water out of decorative fountains! It was good, very fresh and cold. We flew from Chicago, IL --->Newark, NJ--->Zurich, Switzerland! Started the quest with some bakery items and coffee to fuel our journey to Lake Zurich! We walked through the city on route to the lake. Very excited about the clock towers!  The architecture and water was beautiful!
