Environment: The way up to the castle consists of the town and going into the Black Forest! The castle is surrounded by the forest on a cliff overlooking the town. So cool.  Food: None Fun Fact: It was built by the Lords of Schwarzenberg around 1280 to defend Waldkirch and control the Rhine valley trade route. The castle was eventually destroyed in the Thirty Years' War in 1634 to prevent it from falling into Swedish hands.
