Waldkirch is a cute town! It had a street market filled with various shops and food stands!
The Elz River (Rhine River) runs through Waldkirch.



Food:
Raspberry cheesecake, raspberry cake, sausages.


Fun Facts:
Waldkirch, Germany is known as the "organ town" because it has been a center for organ building for over 200 years! 

Kandel Mountain is often referred to as the "Brocken of the Black Forest" due to its elevation and the historical association with witch-hunting legends. 🧹


Started climbing up Kandel Mountain!  


 The Altersbacher Wasserfall (Alterbach Waterfall) seen going up Kandel Mountain 😍


We saw the GroBer Kandelfels (The Kandel Rock). Nearly at the top of the mountain!


Made it to the top of Kandel Mountain!!! ⛰️
This was the hardest hike I’ve ever done in my life.
We went to the Bergwelt Kandel restaurant(Kandel mountain restaurant) on top of the mountain and got more bakery items!


We took a bus back to Freiburg from the top of Kandel Mountain 🚌
Once we got back, we got dinner at Grandmas Restaurant 👵 It was so good.
Kandel Mountain was the hardest hike I’ve ever completed! I wanna take the gondola next time lol

Lost Dutchman State Park! Apache Junction, AZ ⛏

Sunny and clear! #DesertLife Rumor has it there was a lost dutchman who discovered gold in this state park! ⛏ He disappeared and the gold was never found! We got there around 5AM with our hats, sunglasses, sunscreen, and a lot of water. We got there early to avoid the afternoon heat. I think we were done around lunchtime. We went on each path except the hardest; That path goes all the way to the top of the mountain. I will return one day to do that path, when it is safe to do so. Not during the summer months where I risk overheating and running out of water. The views seen on the hike were beautiful! You can really see the surrounding valley landscape on the trails of this park. My parents asked multiple times during the hike "Are you trying to kill us?" lmao! Im proud of them for being able to complete the hike and explore the park. ...
